Best of luck with the open house.
For those who have not had the opportunity, Steve's workshop is outstanding.

This was a great experience for me and I hope for the other attendees. Steve's methods can work wonders for both processing and printing. +1 to what Michael said above.

Eric,
Great setup, especially since we are suffering from a lack of sunshine this month. It will be interesting to see your results.
Dave
Sorry. I fell for legend and not fact. Credit supposedly goes to David Hannum for the quote.
P.T. Barnum was right - "There's a sucker born every minute."

Hi Kenny. I live south of Parker.

Thanks Bob. Your input is always appreciated.

I have two - an early Tachihara ZVI and a Zone VI assembled #1381.
Quick question, does anyone know where I can pick up a bag bellows for #1381? Thanks in advance.

The only problem with a Nikor tank is the price. It seems that anyone trying to sell a decent tank w/o a bent reel wants anywhere from $150 to over $200. I think the OP is better off with a MOD 54,...
All three of the above stores do a good job on color slides and prints in my experience.

Tim,
Thanks for the kind words. Although I love New Mexico, I live outside Denver. My wife and I try to get to Santa Fe and vicinity a couple of times a year.
Believe me, I am a rank...
Tim:
Welcome to the Forum. Compared to you and other members, I'm a rookie - I've only been using 4x5 gear for the last 4 years. I'm certain that you will provide all of us with many insights...
Just got back from a quick trip to Santa Fe. It was amazing to see all the greenery along I-25 and up the High Road to Taos. Usually, starting in late June, the landscape is mostly a uniform brown...
For bear rentals, I would suggest that you check out these two vendors:
West Yellowstone - Grizzlies-r-us
Cody - Grr's rent a bear
Enjoy Yellowstone. It's a great place to visit. ...
All the boardwalks stay very crowded for about two weeks after labor day. Around the 15th of September things begin to clear out to some extent. Around then, you might be able to book a room in the...
Good grief!! I thought that Tri-x was older than dirt. Now you tell me that it is younger than me.
Thanks to all who have responded.
SCM: Thanks for the Wisner info.
John: Believe me, I know the problems that can happen w/ a field camera and closing. My Zone VI/Tachihara has wrinkled...
Thanks for all the responses. I'm sorry that I was unable to respond sooner today.
I probably should have been more specific. I'm looking for the actual Zone VI instructions for the cameras...
I have a favor to ask from my fellow members. Fed Ex delivered my "New" Zone VI 4x5 today (pre bail back).
After searching online for the instructions, I find that they are unavailable for...
Over the last few weeks, I've been looking at Calumet's website. Like others, I've always found the navigation to be difficult. However, I did notice that many new equipment listings were "not in...
I've always found KEH to be great to deal with. In fact, I'm waiting for delivery on a 4x5 camera.
Unfortunately, KEH's no questions asked return policy has changed:
What is KEH’s return...
This is really strange.
Bob and Jac - yes I was Rusty's handler with the 46th at Tay Ninh. Although, I have no idea who either of you are.
Like I said, this is really strange. I just returned...

Weegee is turning over in his grave.
Jon,
The model number is 135021. I'll try to get a picture of it tomorrow. Thanks for your response.

Hi all.
I'm hoping I can find some help with this easel. I've searched the web and have found no info on repairing a loose arm on it. It is in great shape and I got it at a great price. I hope...
Mario,
These tanks are hellaciously overpriced on eBay and other online sellers. However, they do work very well with a little care in loading.
My suggestion is if you really have your heart...
David,
My two cents worth - give Jim Andraki (sic) a call at Midwest Photo in Columbus OH. He helped me out with some knobs for my Zone VI (Tachihara). Great servoce and fast delivery.
When I purchased my Zone VI (Tachihara) on e-xxx several years ago, I was disappointed to find that one of the knobs was not working properly. After making several posts on this and other forums, I...
Michael,
I'm in Parker. Would there be a chance to meet some of the group in the near future?
I'm currently shooting a Zone VI (Tachihara) and an Anniv. Speed Graphic. I would love to get...
I use a MOD Photographic 4x5 Processor in a Paterson 3 reel tank. It takes six 4x5 negatives and with gentle agitation it gives excellent results. Do a search for MOD Photographic for details.
Another vote for the Mod Photographic processor. Easy to use and great results.
Dave
I use an insert for a Paterson 3 reel tank manufactured by a fellow in the UK. Each insert holds 6 sheets of 4x5 and uses 1 liter of chemical. He is currently selling the inserts on **bay. Do a...
Here is a second vote for the 5x4, three reel Paterson tank being offered on Fleabay. The individual making the processors has an instructional film at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mt_Lzd3LUnQ

While photographing the various sites of Yellowstone, I was introduced to the use of bear bells hooked to a camera pack. I have yet to encounter a bear in the wilds of Denver.
