    I did look at this - once upon a time studios were turning out their Sinar gear onto ebay for peanuts (when I got together my 5x4 ) now its all in the hands of dealers who seem to price fix on ebay....

    I'd say its fairly conclusively an episcope lens. I have a similar one here, a Meyer Epidon 420mm f3.6. Same sort of size. It came from a 'pentascop' which looks like a zeiss machine rebadged.

    Folks,

    I have just acquired a super-angulon 90/8 (older silver rimmed) Its mounted in a Sinar DB mount, and when the aperature is set to f8 the blades of the iris are still visible in the lens...
