    Re: HC110 doesnt like me.

Regarding HC110 or any other developer...the big issue here is agitation that will not cause uneven development. I used HC110 for years..and I found two perfect ways to get absolutely even...

Re: Christopher Burkett Interview on PBS

    Hey folks

I seriously have to wonder about value of the work of Burkett. His photographs strike me as well done picture postcards of minimal value artistically. To my knowledge, museums have no...

Re: Maternity photography using Chamonix 45N-2

I have to seriously question your motivation here....a 4x5 is not going to bring commercial success in portraiture. For a professional who has to balance income with quality, a full frame DSLR will...

    Re: Efke film peculiarity

Shanghai uses interleaving sheets... Great film by the way...though price has gone up so much...it is hard to justify now. Used to be really cheap. Many older sheet films used interleaving sheets. ...

Re: FomaPan 320 Retro Sheet Film

I tried it...bought a box from Freestyle. Awful...excessive grain. Freestyle fortunately took the partial box back and gave me a full refund.

    Re: Panoramic Photographers

I would suggest you look at Eugene Omar Goldbeck, Josef Sudek and Art Sinsabaugh. Each very different...all masters of the panorama.

Wondering why I still shoot film

I know this has probably been discussed over and over again...but the advantages of large format strike me to be questionable at this point. I have used digital since the beginning and have been...

    Try Dave Smith http://darkroomdoctor.com/Home_Page.php

Dave helped me some years back fix a Autolab. Great guy...he will know where to get parts if he does not have it.

    Re: 4 x 5 focus problem

Sounds to me like a ground glass misalignment...that would be consistent as you describe. Loupes should not even be necessary except in very low light or with a really slow lens.

  13. Re: Toning a Black & White Print to simulate Selenium

I can tell you how I achieve this with an inkjet print. I use 7 shades of BW ink....3 are cool neutral....4 are warmish. By using Quadtone Rip and the split tone feature....the prints can be tuned...

Re: What can you tell me about this lens?

This is a dandy lens. Value of these on Ebay is stupid high. Your lens is a triple convertible. Used alone, front and back elements are useable...or combined the focal length will be different. ...

Re: Epson 3880 Paper Feed Problem

I recommend you use the front feed. Works fine on heavy paper. You do have to have a bit more room behind the printer...but the front feed is designed for heavy art papers.

  19. Re: Any 240mm lenses f5.6 or faster that fit Copal 1 or other #1 shutters?

    Misko

May I ask why you are concerned about the speed? At that focal length, a slower lens will be smaller, sharper and just fine. f9 at 240 is quite easy to focus... Lens speed is frankly...

Re: First ADOX CHS 100 II Shots+ comparison
