IR Illuminator 850nm 6-LEDs IR Infrared Light with Power Adapter for CCTV Camera
On fee bay
My wife's mother gave us an old digital camera, I took the filter away from the sensor and re-assembled it all. I then bought a tiny IR floodlight and put it ontop of a cupboard and pointed it toward...

First box of Rollei IR 400 4x5 with a Hoya R72
I have a reel of it somewhere and have two fps sitting on my desk soaking up some conditioner ready for reassembly. The other good thing is that it has a wax coating on it,, which I believe would...
This is the formula I use, I have made a dozen or so this way, works a treat! Nice thin soft leather helps immensely!
I dont know if anyone in the states is interested in the restoration of early cameras, but here is an advert on ebay for an American Optical Company Studio Camera. It is in a mess and would require a...
Thanks Randy, unaware of the strict parameters. Figured it would make sense if you were going to fork out for a 8x10, that you may as well get your moneys worth. A camera that can take any type of...
Have a look for holders like this eBay item number:113881638952, it is actually a glass plate holder and will fit in a normal spring back camera.
Deutsche Holz-Reisekamera, Wow! High price to pay for inexperience. Yes as previously suggested get your money back. Then find out all you can about camera movements and how to use them.
I have a Deardorff Studio 11x14 with double bellows on an old century stand, and use xray film. I had the problem of my wife and friends getting sick of sitting for me, so I bought a bust of Ebay and...
Congrats Jason and Steve, a job well done, that's the dry plate holder taken care of, now I just need to buy one of them cameras!!
Seems like years ago I started my quest to do carbon transfer printing, After countless tissues and step tests it seemed I would never get past this stage. I could not even make a decent 21 step test...
Bit late on the scene, but my order is in. A chance to learn from the masters!
Pass on that one, sounds like a game of 52 pickup
I normally wash my hands and dry them, that leaves them a little moist to grip one sheet, without leaving oily thumb prints on the film
Jason I just watched your clip on adding sensitizing dye to your workflow, what does this do?? Excuse my ignorance but I am still going by the original gelatin/noodling recipe. So I am really...
Pledged one 8x10 as I have three 8x10 wood and two 4x5 wood already. Just trying to help a great project get off the ground
I got a message from Steve at Chroma camera's, his quoted time was 1600 Friday, I take that as being his local time in England??
The rounded corner does not effect the image at all. I also cut my film from 8x10 to 4x5 and the rounded corner gets hidden in the film holder rebate. So go ahead and have some fun.
eBay item number:273626713044, half the price.
Hi Bauie and welcome to LFP, I believe that 8x10 wista has 140mmx140mm lens boards?, and the Nikkor W 240mm is in a copal 3 shutter. I had a quick look on ebay and there are a few 140mm square lens...
The Universal Zoom Finder is not very accurate as a composing frame for the different focal lengths, mine stays in a drawer. The extension bellows however, are a very good item to have, tucks away...
The facial expressions are priceless, I guess patience was waining?? Great shot
Thank-you all for that valuable info, I will be better prepared for this adventure. I have only ever used xray film for photography, taking that would be an absolute nightmare, so I really was...
Ok I am trying to think ahead to our Canada bucket-list trip next year (hopefully if health permits). I will be taking a number of loaded film holders (4x5) with me, but what happens when I run out....
What an amazing looking camera!
Looks ok, but you can only tell with film holders and your first shot. The space is there to put a fresnel screen in front of the ground glass, which would make for easier focusing. I would suggest a...

Highlands northern NSW, horseman FA45 green xray film
Very natural, love em!
I have the mod 54 and used it in a patterson 3 reel tank?, only tank it was made to fit. My 2509n is used in a 2523 tank. I use it rotary, but had to fit a pvc pipe over it to use on a rotary, as it...
Edmunds scientific for me too, 9x it was a lot cheaper than purpose made loupes on feebay. I think it is called a stand magnifier.
Bottom of board to strip 1/32, height of strip 1/16, top of strip to top of board 3/32. width of strip 5/16
Ah Ha! I have two of those didn't know who the maker was, someone has removed most of the screws from the hinges. Will have to get them sorted. How is the construction going?? I must say I take my...
Here is the half plate:

Unusual to have these two brass tabs in pic 1, pic 2 shows the internal spring back plate in this case it is hinged to the holder, Pic 3 shows the...
No mine only has one, I thought perhaps it was a one off. Never really did a lot of research on the cameras. I collected perken son and rayment magic lanterns and the cameras were just to finish off...
I'm here to help, yes I think it came with three holders, and the original canvas bag. Does yours have two struts with brass framed cutout slot or just one??
I have a hunter penrose lens, made by wray, that came with half a tin can lined with felt as a cap.
My big brass lenses I make my own out of cardboard and leather with felt inner lining.
Hi Ron, just to add that the lens on the half plate, although I don't think it would be standard, is a Perken Son & Rayment euryscope 9x7 with waterhouse stops.
