  3. Re: Graflex Century Studio Camera; how to remove the bellows?

All 8x10, 5x7 and 4x5 backs from different brands look very similar, no much difference. Make sure the “T distance” on your film holders is the same on your camera backs, meaning the image on the...
  4. Re: Graflex Century Studio Camera; how to remove the bellows?

Reduced backs from Kodak/Graflex/Century would fit in your camera better. The reduced backs from Burke & James, Deardorff may also fit in your camera with or without any modifications.

  6. Re: Graflex Century Studio Camera; how to remove the bellows?

You may buy any kinds of 5x7 and 4x5 reduced backs to use on your camera with little modification or without any modifications. Probably the reduced backs from Kodak/Graflex would fit your camera...
  7. Re: Graflex Century Studio Camera; how to remove the bellows?

I have this camera too. There are wood frames that connect bellows to front and rear camera standards. It should be easy to take off the bellows by simply unscrewing off those wood screws on the...

    Re: 12X20 Film Holder Modification

I could not find a correct film holder when I got my Folmer-Schwing 12x20 camera, I contacted and asked Firestudio to make a couple of film holders according to the camera back measurements.

Re: Best 8x10 camera for ultra-wide angle?

My widest 8x10 lens is Nikkor SW 120mm too. I use it on my Deardorff V8. This lens just barely covers 8x10, almost no movement. If you use screw-in round filters and they may cause dark corners due...

  30. Re: Distilled water, how many of you distill your own?

I use dH2O for mixing chemicals and last 2 washes. It was 88 cents a gallon before pandemic and now is $1.20 a gallon in Walmart. There are a lot of minerals in our tap water.

    Re: 11x14 Lens Options?

Kodak wide field 250mm covers 11x14 without movement. Cooke XV and XVa also cover 11x14 with 3 focal lengths, 12.25, 19 and 25.5 inches. Nikon-M 450mm is a nice lens in normal focal length for 11x14,...

    Re: Century 11x14

I used to have a Seneca 11x14 camera that is very similar to Century camera. In that video, various kinds of film such as Kodak Tmax 100/400, Ilford FP4plus and HP5+ were used, developer was HC-110.

  38. Re: Is hand check film available at Rome airport (FCO) in Italy?

Reddesert: Thanks! I was there in early morning, around sunrise time. There are A LOT OF tourists during daytime. It is wise for airports to keep an old, film-safe x-ray machine for checking film.

  40. Re: Is hand check film available at Rome airport (FCO) in Italy?

It seems some airports still have film-safe X-ray machines to be used for checking film and carry-on baggage. It is nice to buy film locally when you travel or are on vacation, but it is hard to find...
