Re: WET PLATE SILVER BOX IDEAL ID dim

I understand, Randy, but someone will always draw benefit from a thoughtful, considered review.
I can't read any criticisms of the Lerouge tank since I'm not on FB.
So I'll post a review here, when...

Agree, looks like he cheaped out on the clasps, but I think it looks promising nonetheless.

Got a message from Philippe, the owner of Lerouge Camera, about the hardware on his tanks:

Re: WET PLATE SILVER BOX IDEAL ID dim

Just ordered an acrylic tank for 4x5 from Lerouge camera in France.
Looks very well made, price was very reasonable. He claims a capacity of 350 mL (and 1L for the 8x10 tank).

    A review of the...

Re: Ilex Paragon Anastigmat Series S 12 inch FL

I never found the Commercial Ektars to have a smooth look, often giving choppy/pulpy blacks. They also didn't deal well with higher-contrast scenes, often blowing out whites. My $0.02.

    Arista EDU 100 (Fomapan 100) in HC-110?

I didn't want to derail the Rodinal thread, so thought I'd start a new thread.

There ya go; obvious to most, but I had no ideer.
I'll take that to mean that f/3.2 on my digitized meter is f/2.83; f/6.3 is f/5.63 on the meter, and f/9 is f/83 on the digital meter.

    Great, thanks again.
Looking at the photo of the lens again, I remember reading somewhere that a recessed front element was a sure sign that it was a projection lens.
