Hmm, less than two weeks notice?
Thanks..
I will do that.
Thanks all for the input. Looks like I should look for a head upgrade. Still on the fence on keeping it or getting rid of it as I don't print much.
Mmmmm.... Cicada wings?
All,
I have one of these D4's with the grey head.
The wiring is bad to the halogen bulbs and also to the fans. Overall, it is in fair shape, has all the focus tracks and lenses, and carriers.
...
I have the same camera. I used it with the bulb flash. Too much task loading with bulbs at depth. I stopped using it.
Was just thinking that when I saw your response. I worked on one of these when I was in training for my A&P license.
They are antennas for sure, no pitot tubes there.
Um, yeah........

I would like to hear your fire extinguisher recommendations for use in a home darkroom.
I process film and silver gelatin prints. Looking to process platinum & palladium images sometime in the...

Same here.
I know this thread is a bit dated but I am in the same boat. I am tired of staring at my scanned contact sheets of my images. I have Elements 8 but never spent any time on it. I have been...
A long time ago I read an article about a guy that had a 8x10 that was hand holdable and I think a simple fixed, focus lens. I think it was hand made. I thought that was cool. Not what your looking...
I have close to the same set up as you. You can upgrade the 512 SSD and also replace the 1TB HDD with a SSD. That will speed things up. If you do that, you have a fresh, clean backup. Also, if you...
Paul,
Ok, thanks a lot for the info. I will give it a shot. If I cannot get the job done at least I can do the remove with the info gleaned here.
Hello all. I have a Super Graphic that has the bellows vinyl cover seam underneath that is delaminating. I read the links on Graflex.org and was left wondering if it is better/easier to reglue that...
Ok, I'll bite. My Autoknips timer! :) Functional, works with all my lenses, and cool for old skool selfies!! :)
I remember reading\seeing an article somewhere on a guy who used one hand held. Kinda looked like a big speed graphic. His focus was speed so he used a wide angle as lens of choice for zone focusing....
I have had a few but I think my biggest score was gettng an Omega SuperChromega Auto complete with spare bulbs, 3 Componons, (50, 80, 135mm) carriers galor, masks, trays, 2- Graylab timers, and other...
I have the following:
101 Ektar
127 Ektar
203 Ektar
80 Wide Field
100 Wide Field
I gravitate towards the 203 mostly for landscapes so I guess that is my favorite thus far.
Alan,
Never mind, I found the Link.
Thanks for responding guys.
I now have the lens in front of me. I was going off memory and had it packed away when I posted.
The lens has a built-in adapter ring that is internally threaded....
The filter ring, yes. It screws into the lens.
Can anyone tell me what size or # the adapter ring is that was used for this lens? All my data says is that it is 'special" and that is shipped with the lens.
Thanks,
UPDATE:
Well lo and behold, I found the CD!!!!!!!!! Guess I had it all the time. Installed it and will play around with the software to get a feel for it.
If anyone has any suggestions on...
All,
I just moved to a Vista machine and reinstalled the software that came bundled with my Epson PRO 4990 (except for the ARCSOFT Suite of software).
When I installed the bundled software, I...
Fantastic looking camera, Laurent.
I want mine to look like that. Great job on the tripod. ;)
I see,
Ok, so just a very light sanding and apply varnish. That would probably do the job for mine.
Thanks,
Paul
Nana,
Nice 2D! What did you do to the finish to restore it? My 2D is in fine shape but I want to buff\polish the wood to bring it back to like new. :)
Nice.... :D
I looked at the camera and didn't think to remove the back. I thought that since they were flat black they belonged inside but....
Thanks alot Mike.
I recently aquired a Kodak-2D 8x10. With the outfit comes these 3 boards that I can't figure out. I will try and describe them.
They are approx. 1/4 inch thick, painted flat black, and all have 2...
"It sounds like you are using the Epson scan software which I have not look at in years. I wouldn't spend much time on it and as soon as possible get up to speed on the Silverfast"
Kirk,
Been...
Well, I did it. Ordered my Epson 4990 PRO and it arrived yesturday. Nice machine. Got it up and running but not getting full preview scans of my 6x9 color negs. They seemed to be getting cut off...
Kirk,
I did notice that they had quite a few models there. That's why I figured that they would continue with subtle changes to existing models. That seemed to be the history.
I guess waiting...
" Paul, yes I have been through a boat load of scanners, but we do a ton of scans. These are amazing pieces of equipment, but not really built for the paces we put them through (50 scans a week, week...
Kirk,
Yes, I figured that since I am new to scanning I would be needing the software that comes with the PRO model. So, I take it that this is a good scanner for my needs? Any other things I...
All,
It has been hard to get my work processed and contact sheets made due to time constraints and it is not getting any better for the foreseeable future. I used to have a darkroom but the room...
Steven,
So your the !@#$%%^& guy who keeps jackin up the price of bulbs!!! Cut it out!! Your killing us, man!!
Just kidding of course. Bulbs are a blast and you will have fun.

Wayne,
My 203 works on my 2x3 although I have been using it at infinity. Are you sayng its just too long to use other than at infinity?
