Screen capture of the NY Times group photo showing some of the artists who are caught up in what appears to be an art world scandal.

As a lifestyle decision, I can only assume recreational drugs were involved (not that there's anything wrong with that)

... but if you think about it, it really is a unique and thought provoking form of artistic expression that is truly groundbreaking on an internet forum.

Mr. Can is a significant and prolific contributor here, and deserves to be acknowledged for his efforts with a suitable honorary position. I'm proposing we create a new "Mime in Residence" seat for him. It looks like it would be about a six month posting. The moderators could work out the details.

I can't say I know Mr. Can personally, but I do get the sense he'd be too proud to accept a gratuity for this position, so we shouldn't affront his dignity by offering one.

Myself, I have no experience with lifestyle miming, but I've got to believe Mr. Can could still signal his acceptance through some appropriate hand gestures (like the royal wave, and such)

Brian, I'm not really understanding your response. Are you seconding the nomination of Mr. Can to the "Mime in Residence" chair, or is there some other deeper meaning in the symbolism?

You'll have to forgive me, but I'm a mere dabbling hobbyist, and artistic symbolism is beyond my basic understanding, especially with respect to mimeography.

LOL. Sorry... I was trying to mimic Randy's (Mr. Can's) philosophy of "no to few words", which seems over now. Yes, I was seconding your motion.

And as a child I recall operating a mimeograph machine, but I was not a mime.

Sigh. Another case of shattered dreams, no doubt. Lost forever to the dumpster pile of good ideas, once so valued, but now just left to rot. I to recall the mimeograph, the typewriter, and the rotary phone, but that knowledge is none too comforting at the moment.

... and you said there wasn't drama. Ha!

    Yup

I bought this house 2 weeks before the last one

    Best view was my lawn

I had out of town friends, 2 from France, trying to find Goshen, they picked wrong. I am really glad I did not get in their cars.
