    Linhof Right Hand Anatomical Grips

FYI - I was moving some old stuff to archive and found this photo I had forgotten.

It might be useful to DIY folks and anyone looking for a RIGHT-hand Linhof type grip.
Two different types. The left image could be for Linhof's MF or Aerial camera.
The right for their Super Technika with rangefinder; it slides over the top of the RF.

Aside: This hand-built 4x5 with universal back uses both Linhof Aerial grips.

BTW: I am looking for a strap for the left grip.

You are correct, there are 2 different grips.
The left grip has a strap and a cable release.
The right does not have a strap or a cable release.

However, a cable release can be inserted into the right hand grip.

A further difference between a left and right grip is how they mount to the camera.
The left grip comes with a camera body mount that replaces the strap on the left side of the body. The left grip then slides into this body mount.
The right grip does not come with a body mount and, instead, the grip slides directly onto the E clip on the rangefinder housing.

What you have in your picture are 2 incomplete older style left grips. These grips, when complete, fit the shorter, old style body mount rather then the longer mount used for the past 40 plus years.

Not possible that picture 2 show two left grips. I know what I built and use.
If I were you I would delete both your posts. Get a grip.

The right grip does have a cable release and strap. Maybe Linhof did not offer them, but they certainly included them into the design - catalog be-damned. Catalogs do not make products.

No, you have 2 left grips, neither complete.

Apparently what you have may have come off of a camera other then a Technika. Some of the Linhof 220 cameras used Agrippa similar to what you are selling. But these would not fit a 23, 45 or 57 Technika.

There is no way a competent person could find the right grip on my camera is a left-hand grip. No way. Show us how you come to such an absurd conclusion! Those grips came straight off a Linhof aerial camera! They are anatomically correct left and right.

    You are losing it.

similar to what you are selling
    I am not selling anything!

Jac, they may have come off a very, very, very old version of a Linhof aerial camera. But not off of a Technika which is what most, if not all, customers for Linhof grips might need them for.

The grips are perfect mirrors left/right. What more do you need to know? When did Linhof brand their aerial cameras as Technika and DID IT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE?

Get off it. My grips are perfect left/right. Yer messed up.

Since they won’t fit a Master Technika 3000, 2000, Classic, V, IV or lll it would make a huge difference!
