Lenses for 4x5?

Hello

i have two lenses which came with Technika 70 camera:
a linhof-tehnikon 100mm 2.8 and a tokyo kogaku 18cm 5.6.
is it possible to use them to shoot 4x5, because now i know that the technika 70 uses smaller size cutfilm. does these lenses cover the larger format?
im planning to buy a 4x5, so if i can use those lenses with the new setup would be great.

The 100 will not cover 45 the 180 might. Just test it.

because i dont have a 4x5 camera to mount it on. thanks

Draw a 4x5 rectangle on a sheet of white paper.
Darken the room.
Hold the lens up to a bright window
Move the paper until the image is in focus for something in the distance.
Check to see if the image covers the box you have drawn.

If you don't have a bright window you can use a cardboard box - just cut a hole for the lens on one side, and leave the back side off the box.

A camera is just a dark box afterall.

Because a 5x5 negative requires a bigger image circle than a 4x5 negative
