I'm just learning how to do wet plate collodion. This is the first decent portrait I've done so far. I do rather like this process.....

That is my 8 year old niece. I exposed four sheets and that was the last one. All the others were spoiled by her jerking about at the last moment. We were actually both pretty pissed off with each other. For this one she was whingeing that I was giving her a sore neck by making her sit in the same position for too long and I was snarling back that if she could hold still we would have already been finished. Kids these days are not used to sitting still, particularly for photographs where they tend to constantly bounce around. Thanks for the nice comments - I'm glad that one sheet worked out.

kids just dont understand all the work that goes into making a large format portrait lol, my 7 year old niece is the same way
