I have a bit of a thing for Scots Pines, truly lovely trees. Anyway, here's an image from an autumnal visit last year to Glen Nevis just outside Fort William, Scotland (click for larger picture). Looking north east to Meall Cumhann, just above the Water of Nevis.

Thank you for the kind words Alen. I take great care in scanning and I am very happy to hear that it shows in the final images.

It took an hour or so for the fog to move just right to take the exposure I wanted. It was the first time I felt like I really "waited" and made the photo I envisioned.

I find myself wanting the rest of the 4x5 frame, that huge expanse of white.

Fantastic, I tried to go up to Llanberis yesterday, but the roads were snowed in - in the UK this means a few mm but it can still be very dangerous [Having lived in Toronto I know about North American/continental winters and snowfalls.]

    Lovely.

I never seem to be able to do this sort of shot.

    Love the colours too
