The tram was moving, fortunately the tracks governed the distance between it and my camera.

My son just sent this low-res image of me taking a photo that I have recently framed up...

    5x7 platinum/palladium print.
At the time it felt like I was a little closer to the edge...

    Hi mate
What camera and lens are you using ?
The camera looks like and Linhof Technikardan but I have no idea about the lens.

    Great series though.

    Thanks Martin.

Correct, the camera is a Linhof Technikardan S45. The lens used for this image was the Schneider-Kreuznach Apo-Symmar L 5.6/210. An amazing piece of glass with gobs of room for movements on 4x5.

Full process details on the Flickr page linked via the image.

Re: The Setup and the Shot

Sweet, Philip. And a belated thank you for your comment above. Once I got home and developed the film a month later, it was difficult wrapping my head around a lot of Nothing being in the center of things. I had to trust what I saw.
