I have 350 feet of this. Enough for 1,050 sheets cut down to 4" wide. About 23 cents a sheet net cost.

I like this film a lot in 70mm. I have been shooting it for a bit. Now I can shoot 9x9cm full frames with my 4x5 SLR Plaubel Makiflexes. Film fits Fidelities perfectly even appears to have some antihalation backing on it

Here's some 70mm (cut down and respooled to 120 roll) developed in D23 1:1. Some of the most luscious looking negatives I have processed recently. I really like 2402

Film base must be rather thin - no issues with film flatness in holder?

It produces what I would describe as a "beefier" negative. With yellow filtration it is a really decent old school emulsion with interesting qualities I want to further explore. D23 1:1 has produced 70mm negatives that show exceptional midrange tones. In 5x7 it should be even more outstanding. I've loaded up a pair of 5x7 holders to "give it a go" as they say. Silver wet printing is my goal, perhaps ALT down the road?

Yes the film base is fairly thick, unlike XRAY or some aerial films I have. My plan is to print the entire gate (including the sprocket holes) and the 9x9cm will have a generous border around it. Should look cool and really different. The film lays flat so that is very good; fits tightly in Liscos and Fidelities. Appears flat to me. Square format with Makiflexes is what I need to be doing. Working EI so far is around 100 so that's useful

My finest film holders in 4x5" are these Linhof Film and Plate Holders. They appear to hold very tightly the slightly thinner base 2402 Plus-X Aero cut down sheets. Indeed very tightly and completely uber flat. I used these holders a lot shooting landscapes long ago, and these holders are deluxe in every way. And each has a lever, to eject the sheet partially out, when unloading. Yay. No scraping up the sheets fishing them out of the holders. I use a scrap 4x5 sheet to set up a masking tape stop which I can easily find in the dark.



I have a Plaubel Makiflex Back that adjusts precisely to accept these thicker Linhof Holders. Made for using them in fact, uber Plaubel quality. I have six of these holders, along with some in 9x12cm, but not going there with that right now. Do have four sheets of 5x7 loaded up to shoot in the studio soon. As you can see, I have stocked up on 8x10 HRU, and 18x24 Mammo :smile: Plus-X Aero is completely different from XRAY

Now that I am getting ramped up for 70mm (just bought another RH50 Graflex XL back (my fave for 6x7 70mm) I will start testing these aerial films again. I have been testing 70mm Plus-X Aero 2402, and the five inch as well, the first four sheets of the 4x5, need more exposure, and maybe a little more development. But the film is clean and not fogged at all. Encouraging start. I'm testing again, increasing exposure several stops, and developing once again using ADOX Borax MQ (D76 derivative, straight and replenished).
