    Must be near you.

We are not supposed to link to live eBay.

Dead or Fake eBay is fine.

Randy, I found the eBay site right away. That's not what I meant. I'm trying to understand how an eBay store is getting new cameras to sell if it's not authorized! Why would chamonix sell to them in the first place? Anyway, this is just idle curiosity.

Yes I misread your post and by the time I noticed my post was non sequitur, it was too late.

Perhaps Chamonix is paying a 'Street Tax' in product or cash which was common in Chicago and may still be.

In Chicago it was pay or die...

I bought my Chamonix at the Chamonix website, which is cheaper than the Ebay guy. Is that Hugo's place?

I bought my Chamonix second hand, for the accessories in needed I messaged Hugo through the forum here. His service has always been excellent.

    New website site looks nice.

New website looks great. I love my 45F-1 and am tempted to upgrade to the F2 with the new front standard.

If I ever get another large format camera, it'll be a Chamonix.

I asked for info on building a 5x12 camera. Hugo replied only when they get 10 or more requests would he build them. I guess they have moved to the mass production business model and are no longer building custom/less common designs unless you want really big.

Hugo also told me a couple of weeks ago they will build the Saber again with enough requests (and deposits).
