I know I am submitting a lot here... so bare with me...
One of the things I like about paper negatives is the fact, that there are so many things you can do after the negative development.
Manipulation on the back of the negative for example...
This is Trine - the back of the negative was altered - with what I honestly don't remember, but maybe a plain pencil...
red libstick is also a possibillity, but then you'll get very white areas..
But it is FUN to try!!
Wow, very cool. I never would have guessed that could work. thanks for elaborating for me.
I have only a very crude darkroom so I've been doing nothing BUT guesswork previously trying to do contact prints. I suppose then this approach shouldn't be any different. It's not as though I have any real preconceived notions of exposure & development times anyhow.
BW paper is of course the approach most people think of, when thinking paper negative - but it works nicely with C-prints, too…
Colour RA-4 paper negative printed on colour RA-4 paper. (Kodak prints their name on the verso of the paper, plus the important notice "Do not copy" and "Professional images are copyright protected". So you get the watermark for free. And the warning)

These are beautiful examples -- when you develop the paper, do you use a normal dilution of Dektol, or do you dilute it more than usual?
thanks ben !
i don't use dektol, you might save some that is exhausted to tame the contrast of your
paper. for a long time i used ansco 130 that was as black as cokacola, a
water bath and a bath of not "normal" developer, and kind of went between the 3 of
them.
the paper negatives i have been processing these days ( azo-photograms, ilford
rc paper rolled onto 122 roll film spools, and ilford fiber mg )
i use a tray filled with 2 month old, well spent caffenol c with 25cc of ansco 130 / 750cc of caffenol.
i put the paper in the caffenol for 4 mins.
id post some of my images, but i'm not sure they would qualify as large format.
