Linhof Serial Numbers

D.B.P on the top left, West-Germany center and A.P.a on the right

It appears to be a lll but I have no record of that series of numbers, sorry.

Well, I know what D.B.P stands for, but don't know what A.P.a. means - so I just googled it and one of the top links was page 5 of this thread! The post included "The number is the one i wrote 26177. Then on the left there is written D.B.P., in the middle West-Germany and on the right A.P.a. I live in Europe."

More info - I bought this camera in '83 in London from the Mr Cad shop (they also cut me a cam for a 240 Tele-Arton). So, are the serial numbers for Europe maintained separately, because it seems that my number is lower than that of the last of the 1955s, 49799 .
