Bob will not have the prewar numbers.
You should post some photos of this camera in the thread "Linhof cameras before 1945"
Then we maybe can help. What size is the camera?
If it is really a early Technika, it is clearly 1936..
But I am not shure that the 46 is a Serial number, as I dont think Linhof started with 1 with the Technika. they made cameras Long before.
And I have never seen a numer ON the Extension rail. Usually the prewar technikas an the early postwar III had the number on the bed below the rails...
So photos (also of the logo) will e necessary.
Hello Bob, I've got a camera and I don't know which type is it, or the age. Can you help me?
Linhof Technika, I think that serial number is : 5536531
Thanks!
Hi Bob,
What looks to be a older Linhof tripod has a serial number plate "Linhof Germany" with a serial number 31540.
It also looks like the camera attachment plate is secured to the tripod via a clamp - would this be similar to the modern day 90mm clamp in size and function?
Any info available would help me track down its history, thanks!
Thanks Bob, much appreciated!
Also now have a Kardan GT 5x7 with serial #A141054 - production year?
For down the road, are replacement bellows (std. and bag) still available?
Thanks again!
