    Thanks.

May I ask further if there are difference between early and later Press 70.
I only know there are two versions, one with one anatomical grip, the other with two.
Moreover, I wonder if a black version of Press 70 exists.

I have no idea. Never saw a black one.

So you mean a Super Technika 13x18 of 1968, correct?
    Thx a lot, Bob!

What do you think of the little lever, new on the V versions, that allows the front standard to move up and down? Is it very fragile?

Factory listed as a Technika V. If yours has a rangefinder then it would be a Super Technika. Without a RF it’s a Technika.
I’m not aware of problems with the lever. Why not ask John Sexton if he ever had a problem with his?

I read this: "If your camera has a rangefinder, it should always have a focusing cam installed so the camera opens and closes smoothly, even if you don't use the rangefinder regularly. Often the linkage that holds the focusing cam is bent and requires repair from photographers opening and closing the camera without a focusing cam installed.", do you agree, Bob?

BTW, my camera does have a rangefinder...

No, quite a many cameras were shipped from the factory without a cam. So that can not be true.
What bends a cam is not reading the instruction book which specifically warns that dropping the bed with a cam installed can bend the cam. The instructions direct the user to remove the cam first and then drop the bed.

Hi Bob! Could you tell me a year and model about my Linhof master without rangefinder?
    serial number:B511523
Is it rare? I have found lots of information, but I don't know what it is.
