Hello Bob,

I've only recently joined the group as I'm actually medium format (6x7 & 6x9), but I've had my Technika III kit since 1983, serial 48238, which I'm guessing is c1954 - it would be nice to know exactly!

Double check that the second number is an 8.

Yes - 48238 on the flash holder and on the underside of the cam

Sorry, I have no record of any Linhof, made since the end of WWll, that has a serial number starting with 48xxx. It could be a Linhof Medcin or a ll made during or before the war.
