Linhof Serial Numbers

Bob,
I purchased a Linhof 4x5 and am in the process of cleaning and refurbishing it. I would very much appreciate any information you might help provide, as I can't tell what the model is. The serial number I found was located on the bottom of the camera under the leather and is:

66766 with a number 2 following those numbers.

The rangefinder also had a number stamp which is 64.

Thank you in advance for any information you might have.

That number is for a Super Technika IV from 1958. The number should be stamped on the accessory shoe and on the bottom of any cams.

I can only tell you that it is too recent. I only have records up to 1983 and that was when the TL was still made.
