    Cescolite 14x17" trays

BH is selling cescolite 14x17" trays, it says it can accomodate paper up to 11x14". I was thinking about using it for 7x17" film development but their statement says 11x14? What are the real inside dimension of this tray? Their customer support meant 14x17 was outside dimensions, but I dont think it makes any sense.

    Re: Cescolite 14x17" trays

My Cescolite 16x20 trays had way more than a 16x20 space for the print paper....more like about 18x22, so I'm betting you are safe for your film size. I think that the suggestion that they accommodate only up to 11x14 paper is because the next standard size up for papers is 16x20 which clearly won't fit.

Call B&H and ask someone to actually measure the interior dimensions so you are certain.

There's nobody left on earth at B&H who remembers film, so they're very confused about what a 14X17 tray would be for. A 14X17 piece of Xray film can be developed in them so your 7X17 should work fine.

So you have used them Jim? Is the tray a tight fit or do it leave some room around the sheet film?

    Re: Cescolite 14x17" trays

My trays have radiused bottom corners
The flat bottom size (before the radius begins) is 15 x 18"
Halfway up into the radius, the size is 15.5 x 18.5"
At the top of the radius (1/2" off of the bottom) the size is 16x19"
The sides taper out to 16.5 x 19.5" at the rim.

They are top-notch quality, I love them when printing batches of 11x14's...
