    6x6 Filter Carrier in D2 ?

I thought I knew all about D series Omega enlargers - BUT - I recently found a piece that I have never seen before. It is a 6x6 filter stage that mounts between the condenser lamphouse and the condensers. In the original D2, there is a round frame below the lamphouse (that also connects to the Condenser Holder) - this piece evidently mounts in place of this. It has a flip-up door in front, where 6x6 VC filters are inserted.

Does anyone have 1st hand experience with this? Is this really a D2 piece, or is it something for the Omega-Satter?

Are you sure it isn't the condenser stage of the D2v you are thinking about?

    6x6 Filter Carrier in D2 ?

My DII is equipped with the 6x6 filter drawer with flip up door. It appears to be factory installed.
