Okay, what are yoiur best hints for using the Nikkor 4x5 tank?

From what I read on the web, it isn't the same as using a Nikkor 35mm tank.

Is it best NOT to load it up with 12 negatives?

Seems like I have to be more careful with agitation, to avoid streaking and such.

What is the best technique that you have developed (no pun intended) with this tank?

fyi, I like it for the ability to develop in light (and save the "dark" for loading the negatives).

I have used it to do 12 with no problem. D76, XTol, and DD-X. TXP, HP5, Arista EDU.

I rotate a bit with each inversion.

I've used both the 4-inversions in 10-seconds with a 50-second rest that Ilford suggests and Kodak's 5-seconds (2-inversions) with 25-seconds rest.

The Nikor (note the spelling) instructions suggest that you agitate every two minutes. This works well for me, although means that development can take a very long time.
