    Neat stuff so far!

Tim -- I like the self-portrait -- especially the empty feeling and the cut-off Eifel Tower!
Jim -- the 'reverse vignetting' really makes the image seem to bow outwards -- very interesting!
and eberry's explosion of light is wonderful!

Some really nice pinhole photographs on this thread. Love the Paris pinhole.

One from Rhyolite before they put the obnoxious fence around Cook Bank. Zero 45.

Captured on 8x8 Tri-X film lining the sides of a Pringles potato chip can with the pinhole centered in one end. Exposure was varied from about 10 to 200 seconds over the length of the film by sliding a sleeve over the can.

Jim, very intriguing photo, I like it.

Having dense moment though, could you explain this in a bit more detail?

The photograph and the thing being photographed are not the same thing.

The proper exposure near the pinhole was about 10 seconds. At the far end of the can the exposure was about 200 seconds due to the greater distance from the pinhole and the image grazing the surface of the film. I added a loosely fitting sleeve of black paper outside the Pringles can. Sliding the sleeve up the can during the exposure first cut off the image near the pinhole and then the image further down. The rate of movement of the sleeve was approximately logarithmic, faster at first and tediously slow near the last. A logarithmic scale on the pringles can and a watch with sweep second hand timed the exposure. A tripod socket in the end opposite the pinhole and a sturdy tripod ensured adequate stability.
