    I thought that it's much more difficult to find the 20in F5 Vitax Extension lens than the 16in Vitax.

    I think it is. I've never seen another one. Thought maybe someone else might chime in...

    Hi I’m new at all this, so would this lens be ok for 8x10 wet plates???

    Absolutely. In fact some (most) folks make due with the 16" version for wet plate portraiture on 8x10 plates. Neither will cover an 8x10 plate (I imagine) at infinity focus though the 20" might come close with soft dark corners.
