Classic 200 and 400 Sheet Film in Europe

Aside from Fotoimpex in Germany, does anyone know of another source of Classic 200 and/or 400 sheet film in Europe? Silverprint in the UK no longer carry Fortepan 200 and 400 sheet film (which I was told was repackaged Classic), although Lotus View in Austria still have it in their website. Is Classic film sold in Sweden?

Classic 200 and 400 Sheet Film in Europe

    Hello,
    Fortepan is manufactured in Hungary.
    Here is their address :
FORTE FOTOKEMIA RT. 2600 VÁC, Vám u. 3. Hungary
    Tel: 36-27/314-133; Fax: 36-27/314-602
    e-mail : forte@dunaweb.hu

    I know that in France, Jipe-Labo has Fortepan 100 and 400 in 35mm and 120 roll-films. Have a look to their website or call them at +33 01 42 81 17 00.

    Hope this helps.
    Regards

    "Bob, Fortepan is not Fomapan"

Interesting information: I believe Fortepan is also not Kodak, nor is it Ilford. Indeed, vicious rumours that it may be Agfa have been hotly denied by the company... Lawsuits have been threatened by Fuji... Contracts have been placed with the Russian Mafia on rumour spreaders by ... etc... etc... etc...

    Hmmmm....

Presumably, although the eBay seller's website does not have it on show at the moment, it is possible they are still selling it - hence my link to the site.

    Cheers,

The brandname 'Classic' is used by FotoImpex/J&C mostly on repackaged Forte products. It's only available thru them.

Forte brews it's own emulsions (paper/film) and coats them to a substrate.

It is said that Bergger (film and paper) and Moersch (paper) order products made to their spec's (emulsion recepy).

Thanks Huib. I suspected as much. I have gotten a quote from Lotus View Camera in Austria for Fortepan 200 and 400 sheet film. Fotoimpex had no more Classic 200 and 400 sheet film in stock and hence the reason for this thread. I was pleasantly surprised that Fortepan and Classic are the same film.
