    Assigning RAM to Photoshop

    Hi all,

I just upgraded the RAM in my iMac from 4 to 6GB. It shows up fine in the system stats (see screenshot), but when I go into PS preferences to assign more RAM to PS, it says only 3GB is available (see screenshot #2).

    Thoughts?

That'll be because earlier versions of PS could only use 3GB maximum. What version are you using?
