A friend of mine gave me a Profoto zoomspot for free (among about 100 pound of grip gear ). It's one of the older Pro 2 heads with the rectangular plugs.
Lacking the fitting pack, I am now playing with the idea of converting it to the Bowens Quad system. Does anyone know what trigger voltage Bowens and Profoto use? Alternatively, instead of rewiring the head, I could repurpose the guts from an existing Bowens head. Unfortunatelly, the Bowens flash tubes are MUCH wider than the existing narrow tube in the zoomspot, which means I would have to cut the parabolic reflector to make the tube fit (hence reducing the efficiency). Ideally, finding a narrow flash tube (and socket) with the right trigger voltage would be perfect.
Any ideas?
