    120 film in New Orleans

Short of me hitting the phone book where should I buy 120 B&W film. I am staying downtown @ The Roosevelt, Canal & Dauphine. Decided to leave the big camera at home.....and feeling pretty stupid about it. So it's just me and the RB67 and what I thought was enough film.....wrong again.
Love this city by the way, it has moved in front of San Francisco as my favourite US city.

Try http://local.yahoo.com/info-27371787...lc-new-orleans They should be able to help.

Also Thom Bennett lives in NO and frequents this forum. Look him up in the members list and send him an e-mail. I believe he also connected with the above or they know of him.

Moldaner's on Maple street a couple blocks off Carrollton should still carry 120. If you don't have a car you can get there by streetcar. By the way if you go there you are just a few blocks away from the streetcar barn that is around Willow and Dublin st. The joint across the intersection sometimes has good music too- carrollton station.

not sure about it but i heard that the darkroom is gone?

Yes, unfortunately, The Darkroom is no longer. Not sure what choices you will have (maybe only T-max) but try these places in order of most knowledgeable about film:

    http://www.moldaners.com/
    http://www.bennettscamera.com/ (no relation)
    http://www.lakesidecamera.com/

If you need anything else PM me. I work in the Quarter not far from where you are staying.

BTW, there's a great exhibit at The Newcomb Art Gallery on Tulane's campus; Friedlander, Warhol, and Thomas Roma:

And a Birney Imes show at The Ogden:

As always, check out the New Orleans Photo Alliance blog for up-to-date info on what's going on around town. We are in-between exhibits at the gallery but there's always stuff going on:

Have fun and enjoy your visit!

    Thanks for the info.
I called Moldaner's and they can help me out with some T-Max 400 which is just fine with me.
Thanks Thom, I will do my best to check these out.
I am sending you a PM

Back from the trip, got enough film from Moldaner's to keep me busy and had a very enjoyable lunch with Thom. Thanks for the help.
