I was specialised in warm and fuzzy for a short time in the seventies. Ektachrome 'pushed' gets that hand-coloured look. The hard part is getting the heads all working together (no stripping-in from another tranny in those days). Lit with fresnels for atmosphere. The set was built in one day, shot and broken up the following day.

Well, one can tell that this was a lot of work with a lot of devotion to detail (like your still-lifes). Directing all those people plus a dog must have been a nightmare and you solved that masterly. It's really stunning.

cjb... I didn't want to write that I thought it was posed even though I was certain it had to be. It indeed has a hand-crafted look to it. All players were very very good... especially the director!! Any more artsy and it would have necessarily been a painting.

There had to be a fire in the grate, so about 10000 Watts continuous light - a 5000 fresnel through the window, a feathered 2000 through the door, a 2000 through a spun glass screen for soft indoors, a bounced 650 for fill. The people are holding still for half a second. This shot is a reject because the fire was waning. But I'm sorry to hog a nice thread with what was meant to be a joke.

Another 'warm and fuzzy' 4x5 from the seventies. This time, there's an strobe doing the sunshine and daylight doing the rest. It shows how little colour illustration has to do with photography.

I took this a few years back, 6x9 roll film on a Toyo 54AII. I actually used a step ladder to get this shot!!

What a bizarre 3D effect. I swear the ledge of the building is intruding into your kitchen. Nicely seen and captured.
