    In the USA, the first thing that a police officer would have done is ask for your identification. The next thing would have been to tell you to move on. Much if anything other then a "yes sir" reply would have resulted in an unpleasant trip to jail.

    I'm not at all agreeing with the police telling you to move on. But, you can tell him your rights while your face is in the pavement. The british police in that video seemed much more civil.

    Nowadays I just get nervous by planting a tripod on the street. I am constantly thinking and waiting for somebody to aproach me and tell me I can't be doing that. I think my photographs are bad for that reason

    Here in the UK we have a long standing right to photograph who or what we like from the public highway, it seems that our police have at last accepted that is the case; it only remains for the private security industry to educate their employees. If the building owners don’t want their buildings or employees photographed then they should cover them up.
