Kind of why I bought a DeVere. Wish someone on the list with the knowledge and skills would agree to fix these Durst power supplies, for a fee of course, to keep them working. I'd gladly pay someone if my enlarger were sick!

Sounds like bad caps. See if you can get the values off the schematic and replace your caps. Most power supply issues stem from the electrolytics going bad. Sometimes, they'll even look bloated or leaky. Can't hurt to replace them, even if they're still good.

He indicated it is 'very old' but not the case. This is not 400V tube equipment. This is a switched mode PMW power supply. The main DC power supply filter cap is only 40V.

My EST 1000 is now working! The electronics engineer repaired it. He replaced the capacitors С6, с12, с31, с52, с60, с61.

Wonderful, if he wants to fix other units, I'm sure there will be plenty of takers. L

    Good news!

The Durst circuit boards are very repairable. The component density is low and the 'through-hole' components are easy to source. Unlike almost every other electrical device made currently.
