Horseman medium to format to 4x5 adapter

    Hi all

I have a Horseman 985 with Topcor 105 Super that covers my 4x5 detachable back (quite a rare back I believe).
Does anyone have a copy of the instrucions for the back?
Reason is there is a plate marked "4x5 Compensator" that I assume is to adapt the focussing stop to offset for the depth of the back - methinks!

Can't figure out how to install it

    Ken

DOH! Sorry for the posting, idiot me was putting the compensator in the wrong place on the flatbed.... it goes BEHIND the tab for the lens setting - although I am still interested in a copy of the instuctions if anyone has one.

That is interesting. The only one of those I have seen is for the Polaroid back. I don't have a manual, but my extensive VHR brochure that describes the 4x5 back with the two rails does not mention that. I think that maybe there was an earlier 4x5 back without the two rails came with that compensator. The compensator would not be as useful for the later model because as soon as you move the 4x5 back on the rails the rangefinder will be off.
