Great to join this forum. I started my career on film, but I have been a pro digital shooter for awhile. I am really enjoying slowing my image captures down and getting back into both film and LF image creation. I purchased a Toyo 4x5 recently, and I have been primarily shooting 4x5 and medium format film across the past several months. I have also recently gotten back in the darkroom, and I forgot how much i missed the experience of developing my own film. I am also learning about creating enlarged digital negs from 4x5 negs, and I recently constructed a UV exposure box for platinum printing. Look forward to participating in the community.

Welcome to group therapy! Glad to have you back in film! I think most of the posters here use many formats including digital, but there's just something about the LF film cameras that keeps us using film...for me its the cameras themselves, as I like the adjustments done in the camera, even though I print mostly from the computer.

At the Peters Valley Workshops? I took a large format course from Tillman there a few years ago. He was an excellent instructor and a very nice guy, I'm sure you'll get a lot out of it.

One word of advice if it is the Peters Valley Workshops that you're attending and if you plan to stay in one of the houses the workshop offers - make sure you get a downstairs room. Those places have no air conditioning and even fans are scarce. If you happen to hit a hot spell like I did and have an upstairs room like I did you'll feel like you're dying (and wish you were). And if by chance you can't get a downstairs room at least bring your own fan.
