Chamonix fresnel?

Just a quick one as I know this topic has been discussed before in depth..

Am just looking to place the Chamonix fresnel back onto the GG (placing it behind the screen as opposed to in front of which to my understanding can act like a lens itself) and was just wondering if it matters what way it faces? If so, how can you tell which way?

I don't think it really matters. I put mine with the lines towards the glass, and covered it with a piece of mylar to keep from scratching up the fresnel. Works well.
