    scratch on enlarger lens

I bought an enlarger lens used. It has a small scratch on the edge of the rear glass. The scratch is so light, I did not even notice it when buying the lens. It is only noticeable when checked under strong light with close inspection. W ill this scratch show up on the prints?

    scratch on enlarger lens

If it is near the edge, when you close down to a working aperture, is that part of the lens even used?

Even if it is, a small scratch would have a greater effect on resale value than picture quality. The only effect would be a very slight 'smearing' of light, probably undetectable.

If you stop way down..you MAY begin to notice it..but probably not. Try it and see
