t0aster, Well these are well done and disturbing. How about an artist's statement?
John
Don't have much of an artist statement really. Zach is a recent friend of mine and a terrific artist in his own right. This set was birthed during an impromptu get together on a evening we both felt like being creative. We set up in his kitchen and ended up using some of his drawings as a backdrop. He painted himself up, brought out a few prop items to use and we quickly went through the 6 sheets of paper I can carry at a time.

Having never tried paper negatives before, i decided to give it a shot. Wasted about 4 sheets before I got some decent results. Not much luck contact printing these yet, but the negatives themselves turned out better than I had anticipated.

Oh yeah, this is 4x5". Trimmed 10x15cm sheets to size using plain old scissors.
Green and Red Tomatoes II
Taken with a foamboard sliding box 10x8 camera with a no name brass lens. I have, up until now, only ever shot this lens wide open as I don't have any waterhouse stops but decided to make some from card and give it a go. Seems to have worked quite well.
Great image, let's see some more!

The photograph and the thing being photographed are not the same thing.
Thanks Joe! Want to get it outside now on a calm day, see how that works out.
More playing around.
