I also occasionally enjoy paper negatives...especially with older lenses...

All three of these were between 16 and 20 seconds, 2D, wide open rapid aplanat, on 5x7 Ilford MG RC as negative, contact printed to Oriental VC FB...all Dektol, couple are sepia toned...(digital photos of prints (scan of shoe was posted in another thread))

    Thanks,
    Dan

    off to a good start!

    this is Trine.

I overexposed the negative by mistake - snapped the negative too early from the developer - hence the cloud like patterns. But I kind of like that mistake..

(maybe I should post in "mistakes - good or bad" also...)

    and here's Gunnild.

to show how intence the eyes can get in paper negative photography....

    Re: Paper negatives

i like to make long exposures / sun prints so the image appears on the photo paper in the camera.
this was taken with a 4x5 camera i made/sold last year ... and i used ilford fb mg paper.

    Re: Paper negatives

To ask another very basic question...would I just cut an 8x10 sheet of paper into 4 4x5 pieces and load the paper in my film holder just like a piece of film?

Then just develop the paper as though I would if I had exposed it under the enlarger using a negative?
    Are these the basic steps?

Yes - Trim your paper the size of film, load holder, expose like film (though speeds are very slow, ie. ASA <6) - develop like paper...

    Thanks,
