    Dave and Peter

what do you rate the paper at and what kind of day ?
paper is weird stuff, lots of fun!

I always thought it was ISO 6 but Ron Mowrey always said ISO 24. what do you 2 get ?
my results are atypical because my paper is never fresh so ...

    best

    Re: Paper negatives

Hey, John. I just put in the order for some of the paper, and so I don't have any experience to share yet. Hopefully, I'll have some soon!

    Re: Paper negatives

I've been metering the RC MGIV as ISO 6, or ISO 3 if used with a yellow filter, overcast light. The negs aren't the densest though even then. This matches with the Ilford documentation as they suggest ISO 3-6. Definitely had better results carefully spot metering and assuming I'll get barely 4 zones from black to white if used bare, and maybe 6-7 with the yellow filter.

Yep, I've always used ISO 3 or 6 also.

    Re: Paper negatives

I’ve always exposed MGIV at 6 ASA sans filter, and 3ASA if I use a yellow filter (recommended). Contrast is better (lower, more shadow information) if I use a yellow filter.

I met this guy after he went swimming at a local beach. he wasn't really from around here, was in his late teens or early 20s
and didn't realize the bay was cold still. the Atlantic up here is always cold but in march, this guy was funny. he held still
for 7 seconds and asked me if I had any booze to give him, I laughed. it only takes 7 seconds to make an impression
