Gandolfi what kind of paper do you use? I´ve tried only Ilford Multigrade IV RC glossy. It´s very slow and contrast is way too high for my taste.

Anything you could recommend for someone who´s looking for less contrast and shorter exposure time?

    Thanks!

    Great pictures by the way!

I use that paper all the time...

IF the contrasts are too high, then put a low filter (multigrade filter) in front of the lens - that will give you lower contrast and more greytones.

(It will lower the iso a little also, but I have not found that to be a problem....)

    good luck

Last night was a bout of insomnia. So I set up my C-1 with an S.K. 360 Componon @ f.5.6 and took a meter reading. The paper is Slavich Unibrom 160 in Dektol. One image is a negative scan, the other an impatient attempt at "wet printing" the still washing negative.

I am enjoying this thread. Thanks Gandolfi for starting it.
Is using paper rather than film done to achieve a specific look or for some other reason.

    Hi Stradibarrius. you're welcome.

    to answer your question: Both.

As the papers are ortho chromatic, the tones differ from normal pan chromatic film.

Other reasons: Cheap! Easy! Fast (if you're nesr a darkroom).
