1965 T-Bird. This was a test with a new lens shot wide open. (New to me, actually from the 1930s.) It is a tad bit soft so would be better for portraits at f/5, but I didn't have any people around to test it on. At screen size the photo doesn't look as soft as it is. Gotta love 8x10 for that!

Two shots done in Claremont Virginia, a little town settled by northern soldiers after the civil war. I've been going back to this site off and on for the past 40 years, and just now getting around to shooting there. FP4+, Chamonix 4X5, 180mm, developed in PMK N-1 and scanned. Prints to follow.

This is real nice; the clapboards look great! The puffy clouds and the negative space above are excellent and a little different than how we'd normally fill the sky.

Owls Head Transportation Museum event. Speed graphic and Reinhold Wallaston 190mm at f8. Foma 100 film in PMK.

You can see how the mixture of soft and sharp happens in this crop! The tach lettering is nice and sharp as is the right side of the wheel. As things go out of focus, the intensity of the fuzziness gets madder. Enjoy the glow of the polished trim and the bottom of the instrument panel! f8 is real nice on this lens for a mix of detail and glow. Overcast lighting.

A P-51 Mustang that was a performer at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Air Show this year. One of the perks of the job is all access at the air show. I had a great time talking to the crew. They were going to let me get in the cockpit for a photo, but my back was killing me so I passed for this year. I donated the digital proofing shots to the CAF for them to use as they saw fit.
