    Thanks Ben!

    Nice one Jeff.

Another old building - Price Memorial Hall at the University of North Georgia, Dahlonega campus. It once served as the U.S. Mint and is the oldest building on campus. The steeple is covered in sheets of gold, mined in Dahlonega, the site of the first major Gold Rush in the USA. The GA State Capital is also covered in gold from Dahlonega.

I've been waiting for the sun to nicely illuminate the cannon in front along with the steeple, and finally got the right light this past weekend. UNG is also one of the few senior military colleges in the USA.

The place makes for some great color work.

There is a so-called public cabin/hut in the mountains by a lake I have hiked to several times. It's on forest service land and has been there a long time. Over the years people have outfitted the place so you could stay the night there and not have to carry a lot of gear much like it looks in your pictures. People seem to respect the place and not tear it up from what I could tell. Except a couple of years ago it got all cleaned out by the Forest Service. Some rule was being violated so that ended that.

You'll have to excuse the quality, I don't have a proper film scanner (yet) and my darkroom/laundry room is flooded, but I think the grainyness actually looks kind of neat on this Russian T-34.

I’m pretty sure I shot this in the late 70’s with a 4x5 Pacemaker Crown Graphic and 90 Angulon.

This is one of the oldest grain elevators that I've come across, dating to 1861-62. It's located along the old Illinois and Michigan Canal that once served as a link from the Great Lakes to the Mississippi River.

I love this image and the old grain elevator Chris. I especially like knowing about that old canal. I have a good friend who lived for a time in Schenectady, NY while working for GE. He tells me the old Erie Canal runs in that area. Great history.

    St. Mary of the Oaks

This would've been my seconding outing with a large format camera. It's from about 1992.

Very nice, Peter. I enjoy the time it takes to read the image.
