Bristolcone Pine - Colorado Plateau.
I stumbled across this grove in the Colorado Plateau during a road trip in the area several years back and at the time thought that they were Bristolcone Pines. They were well cared for and in a protected area, an observatory IIRC, but no one was present to ask so I carefully walked among the grove of 10 or 20 trees and photographed a few. They proved to be difficult subjects to compose.

Thank you. This one was a really hard one to get it this far. My exposure was good, scanned it good, but it was really flat at the beginning. Most likely cause it was about noon when I took this and this frame had no filters to increase contrast and no lens hood either.
Steven,
I'm really enjoying your images. Very nice work.
Best regards,
