The root cellar is one of my favorites, not technically, but subject wise. This was along the Salmon river in Idaho. It has part of an Omar Khayyam poem in the concrete, but when people see the 1962 they immediately think BOMB SHELTER! I think it was just some reclusive beatniks living in a little cabin there that overlooks the river.

"This is the reason I love photographing old things. This is an old abandon house covered in wisteria and wild flowere in the forground. The photo was made several years ago and the house is now gone! Some things deserve to be saved by photography, and I think this is one".

Couldn't agree more. Keep it up. I am trying the same thing in Alberta.

"This is another photograph for history. Whoever lived in this house was a friendly sort. Why else would a hand well pump be put in the front yard".

The well is below the house. The Out-House is out the back. When they moved the Out-House, the well dried up. .

    Love both shots.

I'm not a fan of photos from soft focus lenses, but I gotta admit, I love this one...

Thanks Richard and Jp... I wanted the look I was seeing, standing in that old hallway. The Verito gave it to me.
