It could be a calculator or an adding machine.
An adding machine can only add and subtract.
A calculator can multiply and divide as well as add and subtract.

The Burwell School is a historic house museum located in Hillsborough, NC that preserves and interprets the history of its antebellum and Civil War era residents. Here looking a bit dishoveled as a recent windstorm knocked a shutter loose.

Dean, this is an outstanding image!!! Excellent use of DOF and the detail in the subject of the motor and pump. How did you meter this scene to have the wonderful tones and not come out with a dark interior???
