While getting ready for Santa, I ran across a box of 11x14 prints that I never mounted. Here is a tea-toned print from a 4x5 negative I printed some time back - at least a year or two - while experimenting with tea toning:

I shot this from the right so that the "Bodie Hotel" sign in the window was visible. The size limitation of the scanner cut off the wight hand side of the building and the old power pole which is a tree knobby from where numerous branches were cut-off. I have since determined that the best composition would be straight on from the general store directly across Main street. The tea obscures the beautiful tone of the wood visible in the un-toned version which I obtained by tweaking the filtration in the color head.

Forgot to mention that this is a B&W print from a Fuji Acros negative. I didn't record the lens and taking details but I believe that it was taken with a 90mm f4.5 Grandagon and enlarged with a 150mm Nikkor on Fuji Oriental RC. Toned with inexpensive black tea. The sign in the window reads: Bodie Hotel. Meals at all hours.

Just processed 12 sheets of 4X5 HP5 in Rodinal 1:50. Some don't care for the grainy results...neither do I.
    Oh well.

Shot with Graflex Series D RB, Eastman 7.5" lens.
