    Winter Wonderland: Post Your Photos

    Greetings:

Winter is my favorite time of the year and I love winter photos.

So I'm starting this thread hoping others will show some of their favorites.

This one in my town center at midnight during our Dec 26-27 storm. Snow was flying fiercely and I used my body to block the wind against my Tachihara.

Resulting sharpness was quite a surprise.

Bob, very nice image; has a particular charm about it.

Thanks Nate. Given the heavy wind and blowing snow I really didn't expect it to come out.

When I left the house at 11 PM there was a lull in the storm that I had been waiting for all day. But the snow drifts were deep and the usually 15-minute walk took more than half an hour. And by the time I set up the conditions had changed and the snow was blowing again.

But given all the effort I shot 8-sheets of various film anyway... 4 each in two different locations.

The previous image f8 @ 15-sec on outdated 4x5-inch PRT that I bought from a member here last month.

The one attached in this post the same exposure on RDP II.

All taken with a 135-mm SA that I also bought from another member here.

And I was pleasantly surprised when the film came back from the lab. Both are keepers.

    Cheers. Bob G.

Here are a couple of mine I shot about 3 winters ago. I too love shooting in the winter!
All shot with my trusty 4X5 Speed Graphic.

Hey Jeffrey - nice winter image. Even looks familiar? Can't figure out why though

I think Yosemite after a winter snow storm defines the term "winter wonderland." This is from Jan 2010. Backdrop is of course El Capitan.

Mods - wouldn't this fit better in Image Sharing?

    Lon:

I started it here so smaller formats could be posted.

But if it can be moved I have no objections.

These on Kodachrome PKR-120. Widelux 1500, f11 @ 1/60, Patterson Falls, Patterson, NJ... where Samuel Colt invented the 45 Colt Revolver.
