    Hmm, I don’t see the photographer and tripod...

    He must have applied some front shift to remove himself.

    I am getting wiser in my old age - I have started to pay attention to where my shadow falls. I could have used shift, but I thought that shooting from an angle off axis made a more interesting composition.

    This quiet reflection is in the Cascades, Washington.

    See that chute, upper left?

    In the spring, it’s a rushing torrent of melt-water that fills the lake & obliterates reflections.

    Nicely done. That is not a photograph a young man could have made. Your shadow may not be in the frame but you are there, all the same.
