Here's my first plate in over 2 months since winter hit MN... Collodion was old and red and very contrasty. This was also a test of my new UV lighting setup... Interfit SC655 2 head kit.

Shot with Kodak 2D 8x10 and 9" F4-ish Darlot Lantern Lens... Exposure was about 5 seconds with 5 out of the 6 bulbs in each head lit. With new collodion, new developer, and a sunned and re-silvered silver bath, this should be at least a stop or so quicker...

For the first plate with the new set up I am very happy! I hope to experiment a bit more in the next few weeks.

    Whole plate collodion on aluminum

    Really nice Andrew!

The new lights are perfect for your long, cold winters eh?! My brother lived in Mankato for 5 years and I couldn't believe how cold he said it got.

thanks Craig.... I'd love to be having summer temperatures again like you guys no doubt are!!! Yes, it can be brutally cold here.... Some might question why I left the UK where I grew up to come to the frozen tundra!!

I'm loving these lights so far... Will experiment with newer collodion and a freshly maintained silver bath in the next few days hopefully!

    Dear Sanjay Sen,

Thank you for your comment, kind sir...

Her gentle nature, her laughter, and her balanced sense of humour can be very intoxicating, among our friends.

I presume from depth and the exaggeration on the leg that this was done with a pretty extreme wide angle?

Thanks for all comments! Got a great grade and was asked to continue on the same path.

@Al Not really extreme, a humble but good 90 mm Caltar II f8.
